the a&m-commerce men , women s basketball teams both share university field house along volleyball . field house constructed in 1950 , has been home men s basketball on 6 decades. field house covers 69,000 square feet , seat 5,000 people either volleyball or basketball contest. facility host university s athletic administration staff, sports medicine department , health , human performance department; in addition offices basketball, cross country , track , field, golf, soccer , volleyball teams.


the field house shaped airplane hangar , has space 3 basketball courts crossways. floor allows 3 games played @ same time under 1 roof. 1 lengthwise court reserved a&m-commerce basketball , volleyball matches. arched roof, 58 feet ground @ highest point, supported on steel beams stationed @ 1 end. university upgraded hardwood court , placed giant lion head logo in center of court similar 1 @ memorial stadium.
