metroline west limited operates 5 bus garages purchased first london in june 2013.


alperton (on)

as of february 2017, alperton garage operated routes 83, 223, 224, 483, 487 , n83.


history

one of 3 garages built london passenger transport board, , 1 survive, alperton garage opened in june 1939, adjacent piccadilly line tube station of same name.


when opened had allocation entirely of stls reshuffled cricklewood, hanwell, harrow weald , willesden garages. alperton new garage , had plenty of headroom 1 of few garages able take utility guy arabs, , @ 1 stage these made complete allocation , lasted until 1954 when replaced stls.


by 1972 arrival of numerous aec merlin , aec swift class single deck buses operate numerous 1 man operated services, , further allocation of daimler fleetlines, parking space becoming problem. therefore became necessary park dozen or buses on nearby glacier metals car park overnight. garage consequently enlarged between 1976 , 1978, encompassed adjacent former underground substation, , lt lifts , escalators department had move out new premises. during reconstruction works, 18 vehicles outstationed @ stonebridge (se).


the last aec regent iii rt buses transferred out in 1975, , until beginning of 1980s, alperton had entirely aec routemaster , daimler fleetline allocation. first mcw metrobuses arrived in 1981, , gradually replaced daimler fleetlines on 1 man operated routes, , become mainstay of fleet many years.


following september 1982 service reductions, remaining routemasters transferred other garages, route 83 , 187 being 1 manned @ same time. replacement metrobuses allocated make allocation (mainly used vehicles edgware (ew), hanwell (hl), , fulwell (fw), making garage metrobus.


by 1995, alperton doing of maintenance centrewest operation , had become home of training fleet.


on 6 august 2016, route 245 transferred garage perivale east (pv) garage.


from 10 september 2016, route 483 operate alperton garage.


greenford (g)

as of february 2017, greenford garage operated routes 92, 95, 207, 282, 482 , e6. on 27 may 2017, routes e5 e7 , e9 passed abellio london


history

greenford bus depot part of local council depot , first used in 1993 midibus base. opening of greenford garage led closure of hanwell, , in 1995 garage operating 110 midibuses. standard fare of vehicles in late 1990s wright bodied renault midibuses, , marshall minibuses both types had bad reputation , did not last long.


from late 2003 until 14 march 2009 ealing community transport operated route 195 greenford depot using garage code ey.


hayes (hz)
history

the garage first opened on springfield road in hayes before moving larger depot @ rigby lane in 2016.


on 11 june 2016, route 195 transferred garage greenford (g) garage.


on 20 august 2016, routes u4 , u5 transferred garage uxbridge (ux) garage.


currently (july 2017) garage has no operational routes , in use vehicle storage only.


uxbridge (ux)

as of february 2017, uxbridge garage operated routes 114, 207, 331, 607, a10, n207, u1, u2, u3, u4 , u10.


history

the original uxbridge garage around half mile out of town on oxford road , built london general omnibus company in 1921, passed thames valley year later before reverting in 1929 work new local routes operated single deckers. extension added in late 1940s , new garage planned, although work didn t begin until 1980s.


the new garage opened in late 1983 next underground station occupying lower ground floor of multi use building. in 1989 garage began operating u-line network of local routes using 16 seater alexander bodied mercedes-benz midibuses (mas) in initiative london transport. growth of use of u-line services on years since 1989 has meant larger buses have been put service on these routes. garage operated busy 207. in 1994, garage allocated of london s first low-floor single deckers, wright bodied dennis lance slfs centrewest branding operated route 222.


on 20 august 2016, routes u4 , u5 transferred hayes.


on 3 september 2016, uxbridge commenced operating route 114.


on 11 february 2017, route u4 transferred hayes (hz) garage garage.


on 12 february 2017, route n207 transferred hayes (hz) garage garage.


willesden junction (wj)

as of february 2017, willesden junction garage operated routes 18, 187, 206, 226, 228, 295 , n18.
