to supply power station 110 kv substation built. substation over-engineered due strategic importance of station poland s central transmitter. although power consumption of transmitting station large (estimated 6,000 kw), substation capable of supplying more required. 6 small towers erected around periphery of station s grounds in order support aircraft warning lamps guy ropes located.

approximately ten years after completion of mast, inspections revealed structural damage caused wind-induced oscillations @ mast, backstay insulators , guys. repair work difficult , replacement of mast stronger construction of same height considered. not realized, result of poland s economic situation. in 1988 mast repainted, not done desired extent, there not enough paint available.
