biography

carter born in nashville, tennessee, daughter of singer fred carter, jr. despite famous father, did not have smooth path recording deal. after initial lack of success @ age 17, entered university of tennessee, majoring in rehabilitation therapy , becoming member of alpha delta pi sorority, , sigma alpha epsilon little sister, known little sister of minerva. during college, sang @ various campus locations, performing enjoyment of singing, rather intent of pursuing musical career. local bartender @ door tavern (bdt) on kingston pike. after graduated, worked recovering stroke , head injury patients. although found work rewarding , worthwhile, realized first love music, , decided pursue music career had left.
