during 1921, kamalapati tripathi participated in non-cooperation movement. active participant in civil disobedience movement, jailed. in 1942 on way mumbai participate in quit india movement when arrested , jailed 3 years.


chief minister of uttar pradesh

he remained chief minister of uttar pradesh 4 april 1971 until 12 june 1973. resignation result of 1973 provincial armed constabulary revolt.


union minister railways

he union minister railways 2 times first 1975 1977 , briefly in 1980. presented railway budget of india 4 times: 1975–76, 1976–77, 1980–81 (interim) , 1980–81 (final). following trains introduced during tenure:
