this olive brown green lizard white banded appearance has snout 1.5 times long eye diameter twice diameter of ear opening. scales on head large , rough. scales around brow above eye curved. row of 3 or 4 large scales found between eye , ear opening. scales on throat lanceolate, keeled , sharp tipped. male has crest on of neck made of few lanceolate spines facing backwards. dorsal crest continues after break behind nuchal crest. scales on upper surface large, rhomboidal, keeled, pointing straight backwards; these of unequal size, larger ones being scattered on sides; ventral scales imbricate, keeled , ending in spine, large dorsals. limbs long , when hind limb held along body, toes reach between shoulder , ear opening. tails compressed , in male has small crest , crestless in female. caudal scales sub-equal , keeled.


the colour pale olive above varies green brown, irregular dark-brown cross bands, broken band of light-brown colour running along sides of back. larger scales on sides white , blackish band edged below in white extends eye, through tympanum, foreleg. tail banded regular dark brown , creamy bands. length snout vent 3.75 inches , tail measures 9.75.
