when als stopped doing treks individuals , small groups, chorol continued work freelance. after completing various courses in mountaineering , other outdoor activities, started more , more work freelance trekking guide, , tourist started ask female guides.


in 2009 founded ladakhi women s travel company in order bring more women field, , promote ecotourism in ladakh. , thru homestays, expose women in village people , cultures not have contact with. on company s website, promotes being first female owned , operated travel company in ladakh . in order train more guides come ladakhi trekking industry, company bring younger, unexperienced women along porters.


in january 2014, chorol awarded indian merchants chamber ladies wing s jankidevi bajaj puraskar, awards give in recognition of outstanding indian female rural entrepreneurs. award presented chorol in mumbai founder , chairperson of arghyam trust, rohini nilekani. chorol first person in tourism category, first ladakhi, , first women indian state of jammu , kashmir receive award first conferred in 1993.


in january 2015, indian news website, weekend leader in collaboration vellore institute of technology named chorol person of year 2014. selected contributions development of tourism in ladakh , creating job opportunities ladakhi women. award presented @ ceremony @ vit university on march 11 2015 k. vijay kumar, special security adviser, union ministry of home affairs.

in 2014, chorol cofounded society ladakhi women s welfare network , became first president. society set work welfare of women, support victims of crimes directed towards women , educate them on legal rights.
