today building on eastern side of michigan avenue in historic district hosts art institute of chicago. however, several interesting structures have been added northern part of eastern side of michigan avenue in millennium park such crown fountain , mccormick tribune plaza. current end historic 66 marker located along michigan avenue in district mark official end of u.s. route 66 in illinois, , several others traverse michigan avenue within grant park because landfill has created 2 blocks of real estate between michigan avenue , lake michigan shoreline. also, fountain relocated , no longer seen michigan avenue.
