biography
early years (2000–2003)

infestum formed in june 2000 grond drummer , skald guitarist. afterwards, ion joined infestum on vocals , thorngrim joined on bass. line-up, infestum started create music. played songs of bands such sepultura, mayhem, venom, , bathory @ rehearsals. in winter of 2000-2001, infestum recorded first demo, called infestum , contained 5 songs. song secha (slashing) begins sounds battle, horses galoping, axes, screams, , martial rhythm. ion said in interview eternal hate webzine, our history, battles of past , battles in our minds fundamental in our creation . later in 2002, record released in mcd format on american label battle hymn records. demo release has received positive feedback in press , has been compared bands such bathory, falkenbach, gontyna kry, graveland, , nordreich.

in spring 2001, infestum started play concerts actively. in october same year, grond got injured , not able play in band anymore. replaced burglar, played in morbid victory @ time. burglar left morbid victory , became infestum member. participated in recording full-length cd band going call criteria of pure insanity , later changed mind. title given first song of album.

in winter 2000-2001, infestum recorded full-length album, called last day before endless night . had 4 re-recorded songs demo album, alongside newly introduced songs. during end of 2002, album released russian label more hate productions. cover artwork , design handled valdmar smerdulak, artist has worked such groups nanghizidda , massive carnage. black metal attenuated instrumental compositions, emphasized folklorish style of infestum. new lyrics devoid of folk motives.

ta natas (2003–2007)

in 2003 infestum starts work on new album ta natas . ion said should have been more dense , tough music in senses previous works , , skald described album total bedlam . album material changed long time unless released in 2007 german label blood fire death productions. has been dedicated memory of alyona zimnitskaya (16.10.1981 — 19.09.2006). album void of folk elements , gained new expressive vanguard forms. black metal complemented witch symphonic elements , synthesizer play. album featured artwork valdmar smerdulak had great experience in creating kind of stuff bands @ time. changing style of music band changes appearance also. don t wear chain armour anymore @ concerts prefer more severe style of wearing. 2 music videos filmed @ period: razor throat , ta natas . bass player thorngrim engaged in creating music videos. razor throat popular on metalvideo.com portal , ranked in top 10 of portal chart. young girl took credit in video. name nokturna. acted naked in video. ta natas has frames lot of human skulls. frames taken documentary sedlec ossuary (a place of interests in czech republic). ta natas met critics in different ways of reviews positive or neutral. lot of metal web-sites assessed ta natas marks above medium. album full of anger, pain , despair , 1 of critics said. critic said: band manages combine darkness, despair , melody , think that worth compliment, not many bands succeed in that! . critics found lack of album over-processed, forced , screamed vocals. @ same time when album released divine skald left band. new guitarist replaced him a\vesh (Наша Вайна, Пярэварацень).

later years (2007 – present)

in 2009 a\vesh , burglar left band. guitarist wrathtodd (id:vision), friend of band, joined infestum afterwards. in spring 2010, infestum released internet single void of nebulae , later ep renaissance , contained 5 compositions.
