history

on 1 october 2011 depot opened when part of westbourne park depot closed make way crossrail construction operation of routes 28, 31, 328, n28 , n31 transferred. atlas road operated outstation westbourne park, buses seen on atlas road routes , vice versa.


on 19 may 2012, first london commenced operating route 266.

history

greenford bus depot part of local council depot , first used in 1993 midibus base. opening of greenford garage led closure of hanwell, , in 1995 garage operating 110 midibuses. standard fare of vehicles in late 1990s renault/wrightbus midibuses, , marshall minibuses both types had bad reputation , did not last long. in recent years allocation has been diverse, ranging marshall bodied dennis darts dennis trident 2/plaxton vehicles.


from late 2003 until 14 march 2009 ealing community transport operated london buses route 195 greenford depot using garage code ey.


on 13 november 2010, route 92 transferred garage. on 2 july 2011, route 105 passed metroline.


hayes (hs)

hayes garage operated london bus route 195, 207, 427 , night route n207.


on 13 november 2010, route 195 transferred garage.

history

it 1 of 3 garages built lptb, , 1 survive, alperton garage opened in june 1939, adjacent piccadilly line station of same name, serve extensive local area had built in mid 1930s.


when opened had allocation entirely of stl s reshuffled cricklewood, hanwell, harrow weald, , willesden garages. alperton new garage , had plenty of headroom 1 of few garages able take utility guy arabs, , @ 1 stage these made complete allocation , lasted until 1954 when replaced stls.


by 1972 arrival of numerous aec mb , sm class single deck buses operate numerous 1 man operation services, , further allocation of daimler fleetline dms, parking space becoming problem. therefore became necessary park dozen or buses on nearby glacier metals car park overnight. garage consequently enlarged between 1976–1978, encompassed adjacent former underground substation, , london transport lifts , escalators department had move out new premises. during reconstruction works, 18 vehicles outstationed @ stonebridge (se).


the last rt buses transferred out in 1975, , until beginning of 1980s, alperton had entirely aec routemaster , daimler fleetline allocation. first mcw metrobuses arrived in 1981, , gradually replaced dms on routes, , become mainstay of fleet many years.


following september 1982 service reductions, remaining rms transferred away other garages, route 187 , 83 became 1 manned @ same time. replacement metrobuses allocated make allocation used vehicles edgware (ew), hanwell (hl), , fulwell (fw), making garage metrobus.


by 1995, alperton doing of maintenance centrewest operation , had become home of training fleet.


on 26 november 2011, route 79 passed metroline. on 28 april 2012, route 487 transferred garage.

history

the original uxbridge garage around half mile out of town on oxford road , built lgoc in 1921, passed thames valley year later. garage taken lgoc in 1929 work new local routes operated single deckers. extension added in late 1940s , new garage planned, although work didn t begin until 1980s. new garage came commission in late 1983 , situated next underground station occupying lower ground floor of multi use building. in 1989 garage began operating u-line network of local routes using 16 seater mercedes alexander midibuses (mas) in initiative london transport. growth of use of u-line services on years since 1989 has meant larger buses have been put service on these routes, in particular u4 has seen upgrades ma s dmls (older marshall versions) current fleet of double deck tns. garage operated busy 207 , (since 1991) express version 607 uxbridge shepherds bush (extended white city bus station/westfield london shopping centre since january 2009). in 1994 garage allocated of london s first low-floor single decker, dennis lance slf/wright-bodied vehicles centrewest branding operated route 222.

history

westbourne park garage part of re-construction programme undertaken london transport in 1980s. common practice @ time, new garage replaced 2 older garages - small , inadequate middle row (x), , larger former trolley bus depot @ stonebridge (se). new garage, opened in 1981 in great western road, , of unusual design in built beneath elevated a40 westway, roof of garage being profiled match concrete flyover. originally, garage allocation consisted of aec routemasters, , small number of daimler fleetlines b20 quiet specification route 18. these supplemented in 1983 number of leyland titan of t class comparative trials.


when privatised westbourne park operated 2 routes operated aec routemasters, 7 , 23. these replaced dennis trident 2s in july 2004 , september 2003 respectively. in november 2005 westbourne park commenced operating 9 heritage routemasters.


in november 2000 first centrewest commenced operating route 27. passed london united in november 2005.


in november 2004 first london commenced operating route 414. passed abellio london in november 2009.


in february 2003 first centrewest commenced operating route 10. passed transdev london in january 2010.


in 2006, arson attack destroyed around ten buses. in june 2007 routes 7 , n7 passed metroline.


on 23 june 2012, first london commenced operating route 70.


willesden junction (wj)

willesden junction garage operated london bus routes 18, 187, 206, 226, 228 , night route n18.


history

on 13 november 2010, n18 transferred garage.


on 28 april 2012, first london commenced operating route 206.
