after graduating columbia, baltzer traveled middle east in 2003 on fulbright grant teach english in ankara, turkey. since then, has traveled west bank volunteer international women s peace service document human rights abuses , support nonviolent resistance. publications have documented palestinian living conditions while on assignment in west bank international women s peace service.
