nesting birds common sight along rocky coast line. 2 cays have been identified important bird area birdlife international because of breeding seabirds. these include red-billed tropicbirds, brown pelicans, brown boobies, laughing gulls , least terns. brown noddies , bridled terns occur. resident landbirds include caribbean elaenias , yellow warblers.


numerous reptile species, such anguilla bank anole , anguilla bank ameiva (on east cay), seen. sea turtles frequent shores of cays.


marine fauna in reef area include schooling goatfish, crabs, lobsters, barracuda, angelfish, groupers, squirrelfish, butterflyfish, tarpon, mangrove snapper , grunts. nurse sharks seen resting @ sandy bottom under ledges of caverns.
