the tottori university arid land research center (乾燥地研究センタ, tottori daigaku kansōchi kenkyū sentā) dates 1923. tottori college of agriculture , forestry located near tottori sand dunes, main task included study of agriculture on dry or sandy land. in 1923 opened test field sand dunes. tradition followed tu faculty of agriculture , research center.
