the school crest adopted @ college council meeting on 23 august 1888. college council decided use same crest used presbyterian church of new south wales, minor modifications.


the church s crest consisted of shield words nec tamen consumebatur (translated latin , yet not consumed ) surrounding it. on shield stars of southern cross, burning bush, , latin cross in outline. @ base floral emblems of scotland, england , ireland. surrounding shield border words presbyterian church of new south wales , star of david placed on top. behind both shield , borders cross of st. andrew in blue.


the school modified crest changing words presbyterian church of new south wales presbyterian ladies college, sydney , placing maltese cross @ top of shield , inserting school motto sancte sapienter. motto had been adopted school on 23 august 1888, , although no translation given of latin, may loosely translated holy wisely or holy, wisely.
