after second partition of poland in 1793 village went russian empire , since 1796 village belonged kiev governorate.


the ethnographer lavrentii pokhylevych (uk) in work tales of inhabited areas of kiev province (uk) mentioned village. in 1835 kotliarka belonged skvyra povit (uk) (uezd) , parish of holy dormition church in neighbour village sokilcha (uk). owners of village descendants of august slyvynsky. there 520 orthodox christians , 100 catholics in village.


in middle of 19th century, according registry books of holy dormition church, there following names: makarchuk, vlasiuk, sydorchuk, motsak, starunsky, pastushenko, stetsenko, ovdiushka, artemchuk, kubdiak, ivaniuk, kolysnychenko, yakovchuk, okseniuk , pavlenchuk distributing among villagers.


in 1878-1879, riot of chynshovyks (uk), tenants , former noblemen, breaking out in village. chynshovyks seized land had rented them landlord slyvynsky quit-rents. land had been taken on lease sugar company khodorkiv (uk) high rental payment. after police arrested riot organiser baladinski, released forty fellows, armed clubs. police managed stop riot, there 26 rebels arrested, subsequently got various terms of imprisonment. however, landlord advised refrain attempts change tenants of land.


according russian empire census in 1897 rural population of skvyra povit (uk), consisted of 86.65% ukrainian, 9.69% jewish, 2.51% polish , 0.95% russian speaking people.
