the school has adopted black watch tartan of royal highland regiment school , pipes , drums uniform. plc granted permission wear tartan after brother school, scots college, issued royal decree allowing them use black watch pipes & drums , cadets uniform. black watch oldest of highland regiments. 1958 aurora australis (the school yearbook) explained tartan s origin: tartan specially designed regiment prevent jealousy have been aroused, if existing clan tartan had been used.
