the function of station during second world war has been recalled since 18 august 2009 2 so-called stolpersteine (stumbling blocks), placed cologne action artist gunter demnig before main entrance @ suggestion of apolda prager house association. these stones contain names , dates of 2 soviet forced labourers unloaded in march , august 1944 wagons on deutsche reichsbahn transported hundreds of slaves apolda work armaments companies.
