woodlynne amusement park, encompassed woodlynne lake (no longer in existence), operated between years 1895 , 1914 in area comprises town of woodlynne. new camden land improvement company commissioned creation of woodlynne amusement park on estate of charles m. cooper in 1892. fire destroyed park in 1914. homes built on old lake tend flood in basements during heavy rainstorms.


the camden , suburban railway company, formed in 1896, established housing development in section of woodlynne amusement park, contributed incorporation woodlynne borough in 1901.
