in january 2013, three-sport athlete kendrick johnson found deceased @ school in rolled wrestling mat. on october 31, 2013, u.s. attorney middle district of georgia announced open formal review johnson s death.


on june 20, 2016, department of justice announced not filing criminal charges related johnson s death, stating after extensive investigation tragic event, federal investigators determined there insufficient evidence prove beyond reasonable doubt or group of people willfully violated kendrick johnson s civil rights or committed other prosecutable federal crime.
